About us

I am Patricia Otto, and I moved to Putten, The Netherlands 4 years ago.
Patricia
My boyfriend Kevin lived here for 15 years, and we decided to live here in our own home. After living here for over 6 months, we thought it was time to get an additional family member.

After some research about all kinds of dogs and their characters and looks, we decided we would get a Siberian Husky. And if we ever wanted a 2nd dog, we would get a German Shepherd.

So we found a breeder with Siberian Husky pups and went for a visit. All looked well with the breeder and we picked Skippa a male.

We took him home a bit early, he was only 6,5 weeks old, and the next day we noticed he was sick. He had lots and lots of diarrea. And the next week we almost lost him because he got so sick. After 6 months we found out he's intollerant to grains and rice. So we ditched the dry foods, and we now feed the dogs Fresh Meat.

When Skippa was about 10 months old we met an older brother. Which we didn't even know excisted, because the breeder told us it was a once in a life time litter.
We then started to learn they were a puppy mill. Just for the money, and no care for the pups, or kittens they breed.
Up to now, there have been 4 litters of the Siberian Husky.

When Skippa was 8 months old, we adopted Sky. Our 2nd Husky. She was just over 2 years old, and had been dumped when she was just a little puppy. She was adopted at 7 months and was very scared and a bit aggresive. But when she came with us, we worked on her, and now she's completely the oposite!

When we had Sky for over a year, it was Spring 2012, we decided we wanted to take in another puppy. But this time, we wanted a good breeder, so we asked around, and ended at Kolyma's Siberians in Belgium. They were really nice people, and so we got on the litter list.

After a few months our neighbors, who also had a Siberian Husky, asked us to take in their Husky, because of health issues within their family. And we took in Koda, he was 3,5 years old.

After 10 months our puppy was born, and we named her Skaraa. Her breeder did everything they could, even potty trained the pups, taught them to listen to their names, walk on the leash, taught them to sit, and being picked up, etc.

Today, we have a healthy and fun pack of 4 Siberian Husky's, and as you can read, there has never been a chance to get my German Shepherd, but I don't regret it a bit!
